Mr. Yantsenyuk dismissed the Head of\u00a0the State Administration of\u00a0Ukraine on\u00a0Medical Products (SAUMP). The Prime Minister of\u00a0Ukraine, Mr. Yatsenyuk, during the yesterday meeting with public representatives on\u00a0the situation around medicines in\u00a0Ukraine, asked the Head of\u00a0the State Administration of\u00a0Ukraine on\u00a0Medical Products, Mr. Solovyov, to\u00a0write resignation note together with his deputies.<\/p>\n
\u00abAt\u00a0the beginning of\u00a0the meeting, Mr. Solovyov had been talking about the outstanding achievements of\u00a0the SAUMP. But he\u00a0had forgotten to\u00a0tell about the recent appeal<\/a> of\u00a0the Minister of\u00a0Health related to\u00a0his and his team immediate resignation, as\u00a0well as\u00a0the huge recent meeting of\u00a0patients, pharmacists and businesses that demanded his and his deputies\u2019 lustration<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 <\/em>said Dmitry Sherembey, chairman of\u00a0the Charitable fund \u201ePatients of\u00a0Ukraine\u201c,\u00a0\u2014 That is\u00a0why the public had to\u00a0remind directly at\u00a0the meeting about all Mr. Solovyov \u201eachievements\u201c which led to\u00a0rash prices growth on\u00a0medicines and disappearance of\u00a0certain medicines from pharmacies. We\u00a0were very impressed by\u00a0the immediate reaction of\u00a0the Prime Minister, because once during the meeting he\u00a0demanded to\u00a0Solovyov for his resignition. This will be\u00a0a\u00a0great relief for both patients and business\u00bb.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
It\u00a0should be\u00a0reminded, that business emphasized on\u00a0the extraordinary corruption of\u00a0the SAUMP. \u00abSAUMP, only officially, collects 100 million dollars per year from pharma business. However, according to\u00a0unofficial statistics, it\u00a0takes bribes in\u00a0amount of\u00a02\u00a0billion UAH annually. All of\u00a0these grey expenses affect common Ukrainians, but end up\u00a0in\u00a0Mr. Solovyov\u2019s and his deputies\u2019 (Inna Demchenko and others) pockets.\u00bb\u00a0\u2014 <\/em>states Denys Shevchenko, representative of\u00a0PHARMUDKRAINE Association. \u00abDue to\u00a0the pressure of\u00a0the corrupted state officials of\u00a0the SAUMP, Ukrainian market starves for cheap and quality drugs. Because of\u00a0their actions, our children and parents die, cancer patients are constrained to\u00a0search for pills on\u00a0the black market\u00a0\u2014 in\u00a0contrary they die. All of\u00a0this makes Solovyov and his partners only richer in\u00a0terms of\u00a0billions, the share of\u00a0which they had \u201ebrought\u201c to\u00a0Yanukovych and Azarov,\u00bb<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 tells the representative of\u00a0the field.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The main condition of\u00a0public and pharmaceutical business to\u00a0the Cabinet of\u00a0Ministry of\u00a0Ukraine after Mr. Solovyov and his deputies dismissal is\u00a0the public election of\u00a0chairman of\u00a0the SAUMP with an\u00a0open list of\u00a0applicants and the opportunity of\u00a0public influence on\u00a0the chairman election.<\/p>\n
