The patients\u2019 organization UCAB not only got the 1\u00a0place, but also a\u00a0special prize \u00abThe Jury\u2019s Choice\u00bb.<!--more--> Activists presented the unprecedented case: <a href=\"\/en\/news\/condemned-to-death-came-to-the-cabinet-of-ministers\/\">\u00abTHE CONDEMNED\u00bb<\/a> Action, which took place in\u00a0April this year in\u00a0front of\u00a0the Cabinet of\u00a0Ministers of\u00a0Ukraine. During the Action a\u00a0hundred of\u00a0\u00abcondemned\u00bb people lined up\u00a0in\u00a0front of\u00a0the Government building with the cotton bags on\u00a0their heads and ropes tied around their necks. The Action aimed at\u00a0making the Government of\u00a0Ukraine to\u00a0allocate funds for the treatment of\u00a0Hepatitis C\u00a0within the State Budget. The combination of\u00a0PR and\u00a0GR tools resulted in\u00a0the unprecedented decision <a href=\"http:\/\/www.azarov.ua\/en\/event\/ukraina\/Lechenie-gepatita-v-Ukraine-vpervie-budet-finansirovatsya-gosudarstvom.html\">to\u00a0finance the treatment programs for Hepatitis C<\/a>. It\u00a0had never been done before.<\/p>\n<p>The competition within the \u00abPro bono\u00bb nomination was high: the PR-experts with wide experience of\u00a0participating in\u00a0such contests fought for the victory (\u00abPleon Talan\u00bb, \u00abVavilon\u00bb and \u00abPRP\u00bb agencies). But the Jury highly appreciated the idea and realization of\u00a0the project, from which the patients benefited.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abWe\u00a0do\u00a0our job with creativity and inspiration\u00a0\u2014 we\u00a0protect the right of\u00a0Ukrainians for high quality and affordable treatment. When we\u00a0were launching the campaign, our aim seemed to\u00a0be\u00a0impossible. But we\u00a0achieved the result\u00a0\u2014 drugs for Euro\u00a03,3\u00a0mln. are procured,\u00a0\u2014 says Dmytro Sherembey, the Head of\u00a0UCAB,\u00a0\u2014 while we\u00a0acted using effective\u00a0PR tools solely. This inspired\u00a0us to\u00a0share our experience\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>PRAVDA Awards is\u00a0an\u00a0international\u00a0PR contest, the platform for discussing the most successful\u00a0PR cases of\u00a0the year.
