In\u00a0fact, this document is\u00a0crucial in\u00a0the area of\u00a0treatment of\u00a0Hepatitis B\u00a0and C.\u00a0The Government has juridically fixed the mechanism of\u00a0funds allocation for treatment of\u00a0people living with these diseases.<br \/>\n<em> \u00abThis is\u00a0a\u00a0tremendous achievement for Ukraine<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 states <strong>Dmitry Sherembey<\/strong>, the Chair of\u00a0<strong>UCAB<\/strong>. \u2014\u00a0<em>Over 21\u00a0years of\u00a0Ukrainian independence no\u00a0cent was allocated by\u00a0the Government for treatment of\u00a0people living with hepatitis. Today for the first time, the Government ensures money for people living with these life-threatening viruses. It\u00a0means, that we\u00a0overcame the major argument of\u00a0the state officials\u00a0\u2014 the absence of\u00a0the State program as\u00a0the mechanism of\u00a0money allocation\u00bb<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 he\u00a0adds.<\/p>\n<p>The Program is\u00a0designed for the next 3\u00a0years, and presupposes not only treatment, but timely diagnostics of\u00a0the disease as\u00a0well.<\/p>\n<p><em> \u00abWe\u00a0have always defended the right of\u00a0each Ukrainian for full medical help,<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 says <strong>Vladimir Zhovtyak<\/strong>, the Head of\u00a0the Coordination Council of\u00a0the <strong>All-Ukrainian Network of\u00a0PLWH<\/strong>. \u2014\u00a0<em>And we\u00a0are ready to\u00a0cooperate with the Government to\u00a0monitor the effective usage of\u00a0the funds that were allocated.\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> \u00abNow, when there is\u00a0the State Program to\u00a0fight Hepatitis, we\u00a0are ready for the next step\u00a0\u2014 price reduction for medicines<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 states <strong>Andrey Klepikov<\/strong>, the Executive Director of\u00a0the <strong>International HIV\/AIDS Alliance in\u00a0Ukraine<\/strong>. \u2014\u00a0<em>We, as\u00a0public organizations, will put all our efforts to\u00a0achieve price reduction at\u00a0minimum 50%. Thus much more patients will get a\u00a0possibility to\u00a0be\u00a0treated at\u00a0the same amount of\u00a0money\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It\u00a0should be\u00a0noted, that the State Hepatitis Program adoption became possible due to\u00a0big patient and public action \u00abThe Condemned\u00bb under the Cabinet of\u00a0Ministers of\u00a0Ukraine. After this action the Government of\u00a0Ukraine promised to\u00a0approve the State Hepatitis Program, as\u00a0well as\u00a0to\u00a0allocate money for treatment of\u00a0people living with hepatitis, tuberculosis and HIV\/AIDS in\u00a0Ukraine.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Accroding to\u00a0non-governmental organizations, around 3.5 million of\u00a0Ukrainians today are infected with hepatitis in\u00a0Ukraine.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today, the Cabinet of\u00a0Ministers adopted the first in\u00a0the history of\u00a0Ukraine State Program to\u00a0fight hepatitis.
