{"id":11530,"date":"2012-02-13T20:22:20","date_gmt":"2012-02-13T20:22:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/patients.org.ua\/?p=11530"},"modified":"2024-04-17T13:03:24","modified_gmt":"2024-04-17T13:03:24","slug":"effective-treatment-for-all-patients-in-ukraine-the-main-goal-of-ucab-by-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/patients.org.ua\/en\/news\/effective-treatment-for-all-patients-in-ukraine-the-main-goal-of-ucab-by-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Effective treatment for all patients in Ukraine \u2014 the main goal of UCAB by 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/patients.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/success.jpg\" alt=\"success illustration\" \/> The main goal for the coming 3\u00a0years was approved at\u00a0the General Assembly meeting of\u00a0the Ukrainian Community Advisory Board (UCAB) on\u00a0February, 10\u00a0\u2014 11, 2012, which states: <strong>To\u00a0ensure that all patients get effective treatment in\u00a0Ukraine by\u00a0uniting activists and changing state policy in\u00a0the area of\u00a0health care.<\/strong> <!--more-->The meeting was facilitated by\u00a0the leading expert in\u00a0NGOs development issues Raminta Sruikyte and was supported by\u00a0International Renaissance Foundation.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abUkrainian health care policy is\u00a0extremely week and corrupt today<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 said <strong>Dmytro Sherembey, the UCAB Chair<\/strong>. \u2014\u00a0<em>The only possibility to\u00a0ensure effective treatment for all Ukrainian patients is\u00a0to\u00a0totally change the system by\u00a0uniting the efforts of\u00a0activists, pharmaceutical business and state bodies\u2019 representatives. We\u00a0made a\u00a0decision to\u00a0focus our activities on\u00a04\u00a0most dangerous diseases: HIV\/AIDS, HCV, TB\u00a0and cancer, where the first two are prioritized.
