Pediatrician Oleh Skavysh also known as \u2019Dragtooth\u2019 is\u00a0a\u00a0multiple champion of\u00a0Ukraine. He\u00a0undertook to \u2019drag\u2019 the health reform through the Verkhovna Rada of\u00a0Ukraine. In\u00a0the course of\u00a0action he\u00a0dragged a\u00a025\u00a0ton reanimobile with his teeth for 25\u00a0meters. The reanimobile symbolizes a\u00a0package of\u00a0bills for health reforms implementation while Mr. Skavysh personifies the Ukrainian people, who are waiting for the reforms and ready to\u00a0take every effort for their implementation.<\/p>\n
\u201eMPs chose a\u00a0strategy of\u00a0procrastinating the health reforms<\/em>, says Olga Stefanyshyna<\/strong>, the Executive Director of\u00a0the CF\u00a0\u201ePatients of\u00a0Ukraine\u201c, and soon this strategy may frustrate the joint efforts for renovation of\u00a0the health care system<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n The first stage of\u00a0the reformation, which is\u00a0the primary health care reform should start on\u00a0January\u00a01, 2018 and the regions need time to\u00a0prepare for its implementation. The later MPs vote for the bills No\u00a06327 and No\u00a06604, the more difficult it\u00a0would be\u00a0to\u00a0get the reform up\u00a0and running at\u00a0the local level. Moreover, the longer the voting is\u00a0delayed, the less chances are to\u00a0implement the reform in\u00a0the next year.<\/p>\n \u201eThe reform is\u00a0threatened again disregarding the public demand. If\u00a0the health reform is\u00a0not approved as\u00a0soon as\u00a0possible, it\u00a0will have no\u00a0chances to\u00a0be\u00a0included into the state budget 2018\u201c, says Iryna Lytovchenko<\/strong>, co-founder of\u00a0the CF\u00a0\u201eTabletochki\u201c.<\/p>\n Oleh Skavysh shared his arguments in\u00a0support of\u00a0the reform: \u201eI\u00a0support the health reform because we\u00a0all benefit\u00a0\u2014 me\u00a0as\u00a0a\u00a0health worker and my\u00a0patients, mothers with children who seek my\u00a0help. We\u00a0all deserve better medicine and await changes<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n As\u00a0a\u00a0reminder, previously the activists demanded resignation of\u00a0Olga Bogomolets<\/a>, as\u00a0one of\u00a0the main populists that create barriers for adopting the health reform.<\/p>\n Also activists several times asked the MPs to\u00a0approve the bills and to\u00a0initiate the health reform proposed by\u00a0the Ministry of\u00a0Health. Though the reform is\u00a0supported by\u00a0the President<\/a> and the Prime Minister<\/a>, the bills continue lying dormant at\u00a0the Verkhovna Rada. Today only a\u00a0small fraction out of\u00a072% of\u00a0Ukrainians who according to\u00a0the conducted survey support the health reform.
