On June 15-20, Iryna Rachynska, Advisor on communities and partnership development at the CF “Patients of Ukraine”, took part in the annual international event Health Technology Assessment HTAi2024 in Spain, where for the first time the patient side was invited from Ukraine. In front of 1000 participants from more than 60 countries, she represented 39 patient communities and spoke about the Foundation’s great work to build the healthcare system in Ukraine.
“We have done a lot over the years to develop the healthcare system and improve access to treatment for patients, Ukraine is becoming deservedly visible to the European healthcare community, including through the implementation of OMT in the State Enterprise “State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine”, and our goal is that this process should have a final result – a constant update of access to modern medicines for patients, we really hope for the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in this mission. Our level is just reaching the European level, but our experience of flexibility and dynamics in achieving results is unique.”
Also, on June 24-25, Regional Rehabilitation Capacity Strengthening Coordinator, War Trauma Rehabilitation in Ukraine Initiative, CF “Patients of Ukraine” Olga Zavadska presented the CF “Patients of Ukraine” and the War Trauma Rehabilitation project at the ReBuild Ukraine conference. This large-scale event draws attention to the ongoing war in Europe, in particular in Ukraine, and emphasizes the need for constant support and attention to the region.
“At the conference, I spoke at the ReBuild Health block and talked about our initiative War Trauma Rehabilitation. Together with me, this part was represented by participants from the State Enterprise Medical Procurement, Ukrzaliznytsia, Sinevo and Superhumans. For my part, I emphasized that we need to work not locally, but to strengthen the entire rehabilitation system of Ukraine and improve professionalism. This is what our foundation has been working on for 3 years, because only then can we achieve sustainable success.”
Such conferences provide our foundation with an opportunity to network, form new partnerships and establish connections for further work in the field of development and recovery of Ukraine.
