Five representatives of our patient community have joined the Public Control Council of the National Health Service of Ukraine. Specifically, they are Inna Ivanenko, CEO of our CF; Olha Zavadska, Project Officer; Olha Semko, Patients’ Rights Advocacy Officer; Alesia Azarova, Founder of the CF «280 Days»; and Anton Kulahin, Co-founder of the CF «99 Problems». The Council consists of 15 public representatives.
One of the key activities of our foundation is ensuring public oversight. Therefore, we are pleased to have the opportunity to monitor transparency and convey public opinion to this important structure within the Ukrainian healthcare system.
At the first constituent meeting, Oleksiy Golovin, a representative of our partner NGO «Medical Leaders», was elected as the head of the Council. Olha Semko was elected as the secretary of the Council.

The main tasks of the Public Control Council are:
🔹To monitor the transparency of NHSU activities
🔹To interact with public associations and other civil society institutions in the healthcare sector, particularly to prevent corruption
🔹To exercise public oversight over state budget expenditures managed by the NHSU
🔹To convey public opinion on issues within the healthcare system and provide proposals for improving the Medical Guarantee Program
We are always ready to advocate for affordable treatment for all patients, which is why we support initiatives that will enhance the healthcare system of Ukraine.
