The Charitable Foundation “Patients of Ukraine” together with partners, volunteers  and non-indifferent people for three months raised UAH 19 266 699 for protection of health professionals.

CF “Patients of Ukraine” received charitable contributions from:

• 38 partners and donors who donated and/or raised UAH 18 445 586;
• 1 256 non-indifferent people through the website for the amount of UAH 821 112. 

This money allowed providing protection for 7 500 doctors, paramedics and nurses in 174 hospitals in all regions of Ukraine and this is the most important result for us.

CF “Patients of Ukraine” created the coordination center to fight COVID-19 pandemic in the first week of disease incidence in Ukraine. The Foundation raises money to protect health workers, procures, distributes and delivers aids to health facilities. Also the Foundation consults partners, donors and NGOs intending to provide assistance.

Assistance to health workers for three months

Mission of the Foundation is to protect health workers from coronavirus infection. The safe conditions will allow them to stay healthy and save patients with COVID-19.

We procure personal protection equipment (PPE) for health professionals. PPE creates the barrier saving from infection. We procure masks/respirators, shields or goggles to protect respiratory tract from infection. Also we procure protective suits, boot covers, gloves and sanitizers.

Together with our partners during three months we have purchased and/or delivered 363 628 different PPE items:

• 89 900 masks;
• 76 598 respirators;
• 75 530 gloves;
• 70 860 protective suits;
• 20 325 isolation gowns;
• 12 750 boot covers;
• 8 005 shields/goggles;
• 7 000 caps;
• 2 800 aprons;
• 1 860 bottles of sanitizer (various volumes).

Also we procured and/or delivered 3,000 diapers and 500 tubes of hand cream.

In addition to PPE, we acquire medical equipment that allows doctors to save more lives of patients with COVID-19. For three months we acquired and delivered 138 items of medical equipment, in particular:

• 95 monitors (45 are installed and 50 are in the process of installation) connected to lung ventilators. This allows doctors to monitor the patient’s condition in real time and immediately provide intensive care;
• 42 oxygen concentrators, which allow doctors to save patients with COVID-19 and prevent severe complications;
• 1 lung ventilator.

Another 16 oxygen concentrators and more than 10,000 PPE items procured by us are on the way to the hospitals.

Team

We have 200 volunteers working with us every day. They manually collect the needs from hospitals, help to purchase, distribute and deliver PPE. Without these 200 people, this initiative and such significant results would have been impossible. Thank you for your humanity. You are our superheroes. Special thanks to the party Golos for their help in creating a wide network of volunteers.

Three months is a short period of time in which we managed to achieve great results and protect 7,500 doctors. We thank everyone who supports us, makes donations, sends the words of thanks and helps. We will not tire of repeating that together we are a large and powerful network of like-minded people able to withstand in the moments of crisis.

Quarantine is easing, but the pandemic has not disappeared. We continue to defend doctors and fight.
