Inna Boiko is elected as the Executive Director of the CF «Patients of Ukraine». This decision was made by the members of the Foundation at the annual meeting.
Inna Boiko is the co-founder of the CF «Patients of Ukraine», who for already 13 years has been protecting the rights of the Ukrainian patients. She used to work at the All-Ukrainian Network of People Who Live with HIV/AIDS as the senior specialist at the advocation department. She left the Network together with Dmytro Sherembei and Olga Stefanyshyna in 2011 in order to create the organization called for protecting the right of all patients. Until recently she occupied the position of the Deputy Executive Director of the CF «Patients of Ukraine» and after Olga Stefanyshyna was appointed as the Deputy Health Minister Inna temporarily assumed the responsibilities of the Director of the Foundation.
CF «Patients of Ukraine» unites 36 organizations.
The Foundation headed by Inna Boiko will continue its work on expanding access of patients to quality treatment.
«Recently another 5 patients’ organizations representing various diseases joined the Foundation, — Inna Boiko comments, — Development of the patients’ community and joint struggle for expanding access to treatment have been and remain the key priorities of the Foundation. We will further work on changing the medicine assistance approaches for placing the patients and their health at the center of the public health system».
