Translator for the project “Strengthening the capacity of health care institutions in communities of priority regions in the conditions of military aggression of the Russian Federation”. 

Job description 

CF “Patients of Ukraine” announced a tender to involve an expert for the position of Translator for the project  “Strengthening the capacity of health care institutions in communities of priority regions in the conditions of military aggression of the Russian Federation”. 

The purpose of the project :

– Promote uninterrupted provision of medical services in health care facilities near the contact lines.  

– Strengthen the capacity of hromadas to provide medical services to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in hromadas of focal regions.

Translator  will be responsible for translating prepared financial and content reports at all stages of the project.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting the translation of technical documents, policies, presentations, etc., from Ukrainian into English and vice versa
• Supporting the translation of projects’ publications, including translated text proofreading;

• translation of interim reports and  final report of the project;

Your profile:

Qualifications:

• Ukrainian citizen, who is currently undertaking or recently completed postgraduate studies in translation, international affairs, or a comparable study, and have knowledge and some experiences in the communication field.
• A Master/PhD in a field relevant for this contract will be considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English, especially in academic English, fluency in Ukrainian
• Very good communication skills;
• Good knowledge of MS Office 365, including MS Office, Teams as well as Planner, Google tables.

General professional experience:

• At least 2 years professional experience in a comparable position 

Advantages:

• Knowledge of technical translations in the fields of medicine, social sciences is an additional asset
• Structured way of working, e.g., ability to manage own tasks and to-dos 
• Able to work under pressure and handle multi-tasks;
• Experience in projects in the field of rehabilitation and recovering of HCFs to provide medical services in Ukraine while Russian aggression since 2014 or working inside the Healthcare system during that period;

Location information 

The operational base of this contract will be in Kyiv, Ukraine. 

On-line mode will also be considered.

Coverage regions:  

1 priority: Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Odesa regions . 

If available: Kherson, Lugansk, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk regions. 

It is worth noting that the list of regions may be revised, depending on the situation with the deployment of hostilities at the time of the launch of the project.

Start date & period of implementation

The intended start date is January 2023 and the period of implementation of the contract will be up to 6 months from this date.

Значна опитаних не змогли відповісти на це питання.”
